Wear your shoes every single day and Move. Show your body how much you love it.

We come up with excuses without even trying! 

       I hear so many people say - they can’t go for walks because their knee hurt, their feet hurt, they can’t run because their joints hurt. Some say they can’t go to the gym because they have no time. Wear knee braces to walk and run! Put up with a little pain! Make the Time! 

Yes, Listen to your body… but Try first!  Have you seen pregnant women run marathons? Have you seen people with prosthetic legs run? If they can do it - Trust me you can do it too! It’s your mind!

       Yes! Your body will hurt! Your brain is the one telling you to stop.  If you keep trying - your muscles loosen up and your body gets stronger. Any form of workout should be our priority every single day. The more you move the better it is. You will be surprised how your body will react when you take care of it.  I have a friend who is a busy bee and travels a lot - but gets up early to get to the hotel gym and does what she can. Your desire to change must be greater than your desire to stay the same! ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSES! 

      Start slow, increase your activity. Walking is a basic exercise everyone can do. It is ideal to do 10,000 steps per day. This was first popularized by Japanese Pedometers. Set a goal, move! Increase your steps slowly. Of course you can’t do this overnight. You will definitely see improvements in health, weight loss, more energy… the benefits are countless. 

     My husband and I have a competition going as to who hits 10,000 steps! Once I hit 35,000 steps! Beat him hands down! A friend said-she could not walk 2000 steps per day, but after getting on with my plan, climbed and walked a mountain for 6 hrs, and she surprised herself that she was able to do it. She tried and she conquered. TRY - Yes you can! Healthy competition is a good thing. I am part of a healthy whatsapp group where we post our daily workouts and we motivate each other to do better each day. Find like minded people who can inspire and motivate you to be your best. 

    Think about this - Why do we always try to find a parking space closest to our shopping centers? Make it a goal to park far away and walk a few extra steps. Why should we take that elevator - walk up the steps. I once walked 22 floors! The feeling Priceless! Walk the steps in the airports, subways, apartments - (Of course when I am dressed to kill and wearing my heels, I absolutely will not!).Why do we find a chair at parties to talk to friends, Walk and talk! I have a friend who set the alarm for every hour and she would take 300 steps! Find ways to Move.

     I love it when I tried that full push up at the gym. I surprised myself when I was able to.  I still can’t box jump- ONE DAY! I will keep trying. Push your body to its limits. Come out of your comfort zone. See what little exercise everyday can do to your body and mind.  Be Mentally stronger than what you physically feel. NO PAIN NO GAIN.
